The view from my "office"

Careys Bay, east of Dunedin, pub is for sale if interested.

last shot is of a very well known Irish driver taken appropriately in an Irish pub in Dunedin and of course he and his co driver were both drinking Guiness.

Breakfast at the Raffles.
Order off the menu supposedly but the waiter asked what I didn’t like or was allergic to and served me pretty much everything else. Never eaten so much. First the mezze, then the pastries, then the meat platter followed by granola and fruit and then porridge. I was full to the brim and he still asked if I wanted waffles or pancakes. Staff wait on you hand and foot and you pretty much have 1 staff member per table.

For the Richmond football club fans from Ted Lasso.

There is a little jewelry store in the laneway where Ted Lasso comes out of his apartment, and I’ve been going there for years to buy earrings because I have some quite different things.

I went in today and of course bought some more earrings and had a chat to them about what changes have happened because of Ted Lasso and she said the footfall has been quite increased and there are people doing tours around the area.

That’s lovely
I like stories like this where locals get some gentle benefit that enriches

I am sure that a lot of people that were in the pub were there because of Ted Lasso because there were a lot of people taking photos
As British drama fans of a certain vintage husband and I always seek out places whose shows we love. Last UK trip - Grantchester (in the actual town of same name) and the remaining beehive kilns in Stoke-on-Trent Gladstone Museum (Pottery Throw Down).

New Tricks always drinking at my pub by Hammersmith Bridge, The Blue Anchor. I lived "up north" for a while too and as each ep. Vera is shot in so many locations around South Shields, Newcastle, North Shields, Whitley Bay, Durham, etc. I get whiplash.

Have not been in The Blue Anchor for a drink but have walked across the Hammersmith Bridge many times during visits including Easter Sunday just gone.
Lovely old bridge, been closed to traffic for last 5 yrs, is foot & cylcle only now.

Magnificent piece of engineering that is also attractive. Use to be my London entry / exit on way down to Scilly Isles and onto A3.
