Apologies, I shouldn't have said utilisation because that's not reported as there's no credit limit, but other details that affect your credit score are reported (eg age of account, balance, late payments).Thank you!

Since I have two phones, I set the VPN on the older phone to an American IP address. Then I created a new Gmail account and then change the Play store to the US one ( I think these were the steps I took. Sorry it has been a while since I did it)

Yes. I just finished setting up the account. Still waiting for the cards to be sent out.Has anyone here applied for an US HSBC account through their overseas service? If so, how long did it take to go through that process?
I submitted an application 8 business days ago, but still waiting after I provided the requested additional documents one day after the applicaiton.
Wow, such a painful company to deal with. I'll share my experience once they get back to me. I got a standard email yesterday saying the decision is taking a bit longer.Yes. I just finished setting up the account. Still waiting for the cards to be sent out.
Initially they emailed asking for multiple documents, including proof of Premier, my Relationship Manager emailed back and said any HSBC staff would be able to confirm my status. I just forwarded that email together with my Relationship Manager details to the Bangalore processing team.
They also asked how I'm supposed deposit money into US account. Replied transfer from Australia because my income from there
They then asked for SSN or ITIN and more forms to fill in, Replied No, I don't have it.
They asked I could go to US branch. I replied no I'm travelling and in Australia for next few months on family matters
Process took about 3 weeks
Emailed back and forth.
