Qantas Wine latest offering

Definitely not haha, just hard to justify the extra cost for the points (for me).
Ditto but thatā€™s always a good reference point. We joke about buying X points with free wine, but itā€™s not difficult to work out what weā€™re actually paying for those points on top of the reasonable cost of the wine.

I tend to look for the $15 to $25 per bottle quaffers with 10k to 15k bonus points (the price difference for those points is in the noise).

Any views on the Wynns V&A cabernet shiraz? As PCP, can get a 6-pack of the 2015 for $270 less a $50 voucher = $220, $37/btl.

Has anyone ordered Yalumba Barossa Valley Cabernet Shiraz 2017 at the end of last year? If yes, did you get 12 bottles with your order?

They delivered 6 bottles instead of 12 and are looking into this for me, so I am keen to see whether others have the same problem too.

I ordered the Yalumba Eden Valley Shiraz. It came as 2x 6 bottle boxes within a box.

I ordered this when it was a 6 pack, and got a 6 pack. It was also offered as a 12 pack at one point too.

D'arenberg 2018 Dead Arm shiraz is $390 per 6-pack, with 12k points. $351 for PCP members, and $301 with a $50 PC voucher, bringing it down to $50/btl with 12k points.

Not amazing, but decent price per bottle is $30 if you value your points at 1c.

Well that prompted me into finally cracking open my delivery from November and the good news is that I did indeed:

I've made several orders for this wine, and have always received 12 bottles (2x6 mini cases per case) as per 33kft above.

Thanks all, they must have got confused between a order of 6 bottles versus 12 bottles. I ordered 3 cases of 12 and only 18 bottles showed up, hopefully they can get to the bottom of it soon.

Does anyone know the escalation channel for Qantas Wine? Need some urgent help as my J redemption could get cancelled because Qantas Wine is looking to claw half of my bonus points back as they went ahead to process the refund for half of my orders without asking me (item is now out of stock), but there isn't enough points on my account as I already used the points for a J flight redemption.

I called Qantas Wine but the best they could do is to put in a case as it's beyond what call centre staff could handle, and I am worried that my flight could get cancelled before they look into my case.

Can you buy a different case of wine to make up the points? You are being refunded the cost of the wine you thought you'd bought...

Did you try the Sales team? When you call, instead of pressing the option for the Call Centre (1), press the option for buying wine (2). That gets you the sales team in Australia. The call centre is based overseas and they don't have access to the necessary systems, or power to do anything.

Thanks, I will try this on Monday. The support team is useless as the item was actually in stock (IrishPete has the link), yet they processed the refund claiming it is now out of stock...., not sure what they are looking at!

Anyone able to identify the mystery rose from the description?

Possibly this? Same vintage and relatively similar descriptionsā€¦ suspect the bottle image in the mystery wine listing is a ā€œredā€ herring.

EDIT: just noticed the SKU for the mystery wine is ā€œMYSPENHROS22ā€ whilst the SKU for the one I suggested is ā€œPENHROS22ā€. Additionally, both listings show the same original (non-discounted) price. Coincidence? šŸ¤”

Same logic works for the other mystery rose deal -:

You can pay $336/dozen for the mystery wine, or $336/dozen for the named one. SKUs virtually identical and they didnā€™t even bother to try and disguise the description this time šŸ¤£
