Agree - but it still occurred. Maybe if the player in question had to quarantine, would he have been allowed to enter maybe? No view on this.
Actually I don't like the tennis so never watch it,

This year, the players (association?) were initially rebelling about having to quarantine again - so in respect of the comment you were replying to, IMHO its correct to say if no there was vaccination then no AO.
 
I’d say it’s not the AFP but probably ABF. Border force already have been with him the duration of the court case at the Rialto. They probably got the comms not long after and now his lawyers are trying to work out ‘what’s next’

I don’t think there was anything they can do next? His out on tonight’s EK flight essentially.

Why is that? Didn't the judge say Djokovic has a further avenue after the Minister for Immigration cancels/revokes the visa?

In other news, Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios is in huge doubt for the Australian Open after contracting COVID-19 just a week out from the season-opening major.

Kyrgios pulled out of the Sydney Tennis Classic on Monday just hours before his match against Italian firebrand Fabio Fognini.

The 26-year-old withdrew from the Melbourne Summer Set last week with a mystery illness that sparked his asthma.

The world No.114 was cleared of Covid-19 at the time, but on Monday confirmed he had contracted the virus.

The Australian Open begins on January 17, giving him just a week to recover and be cleared to return.

If Kyrgios does feature at the Australian Open, he will do so without playing competitively since September.

“I just want to be open and transparent with everyone, the reason I have had to pull out of Sydney is because I tested positive for COVID,” Kyrgios posted on his Instagram story.

“I am feeling healthy at the moment with no symptoms.

“I wish everyone all the best and to stay safe where you can. If all goes well I will see you all at the Australian Open.”

Wasn't it the Victorian Govt and Daniel Andrews and TA who implemented the No Vax No play rule? Agree that with the uproar it did seem like a good thing to latch on to but he seized an opportunity (and what politician doesn't!) rather than create the situation where a non vaxxed non citizen gets to come and play.

And had to quarantine prior.

Sounds like is was just VicPol escorting Novak and his equipment to the Rialto
