Who collects BOAC memorabilia? I have a FAN that is all intact with a few little nicks here and there. It has bamboo ribs and pictures of people in their 'national dress', including a bloke in jodhpurs with a kangaroo in the background. It has that attractive Tiffany blue colour surround.

It is similar to this sold one: VINTAGE 1960's ADVERTISING FAN BOAC (BA - BRITISH AIRWAYS) - WOOD & PAPER | eBay

Plse post EOI here, for those with some years of membership and lots of few posts - I'll decide on specifics depending on interest, if any. I'll need a SAE sufficient to keep it safe from Aussie Post.

Any takers yet? Sounds interesting but not for me. (I'd be shot if I took in any more memorabilia.)

Not sure what you’re referring to. But is that London to Sydney 34.5 hours in 1967. That doesn’t sound too bad. o_O

Nup - it was the same A321 aircraft that took you from Barcelona to London that had taken you from London to Berlin 18 days earlier.
@serfty you got it.
What a coincidence don't you think.
The Captain of that second aircraft was so amazed not only with it being the same aircraft, that I still had the book and asked for it to be signed, he asked to have a quick chat with me at my destination. It was the Captain who even handed me the book back.

Aww I wish I could find my BOAC JJC logbook. I can remember getting the quarterly (?) newsletter “ Fleetwings”
And the certificates handed out when you reached a certain mileage. The JJC was a great marketing tool for BOAC loyalty given the pester power of kids.

No memorabilia, just memories of VC10 flight in 1973: Brisbane-Darwin-Rangoon-Calcutta-Bombay-Kuwait-London. Longest flight leg was 6.5hrs, shortest 1.5hrs. I was 10yo at the time, about to spend a year in England through my father's university study leave program.
