KF Gurus: I am flying SQ MEL-SIN-CPH in J next month. I requalify for VA WP with the MEL-SIN flight, and I would like to credit the SIN-CPH flight to KF.
Am I able to change the FF program and number on my booking whilst in transit in SIN? Has anyone done this successfully and had the points and SCs credited to the correct programs?

TIA.

That should be possible. Ask them to change the FF number in the lounge and also request a new boarding pass.

Note there are no guarantees that everything will go to plan and will depend entirely on whether the change is made correctly.

I have a 2-sector booking on QR coming up shortly, where ideally I would like to credit the first flight to BA and the second flight to QR. I've searched around for advice and the conclusion I've come to is that it is too risky to attempt.

So in this case I'll just quote my BAEC number in the booking. If the points went the other way it would be a major issue, associated with lots of hassle, no doubt.

Just reporting that the change went to plan. I think the important thing was that, as JohnK mentioned, I was able to have it done by the service staff in the SIN SilverKris Lounge. I had to do a retro claim with VA for the MEL-SIN leg so just a little delay. Happily as a result I have requalified for VA WP and qualified for SQ Gold.

congrats on this, at first a thought it might have been ambitious! Sounds like the staff knew what they were doing too

Staff can link two FF numbers in the back end, one for earning and the other for FF benefits. You will need to be explicit with your request, as the FF # on the boarding pass doesn't necessarily mean miles will be credited to that account.

Staff at the customer service counters or lounge can assist with this (airside), and I would use the other as you walk past to confirm the first CSO has correctly set this up in the back end.
