    Velocity account suspended

Not sure, I assume not at the time and I've not spoken to them since, they've not said anything to me directly so it's hard for me to say. I'm not saying I don't disagree with the rules, just surprised it happened. If they suspend you, if you open one up later is that possible?

    Velocity account suspended

This was a transaction. That was like 12 months back, was not a recent transaction. I don't recall how many exactly, maybe 30-50k range it wasn't a huge amount as I wasn't actively generating those types of points. Yep, they didn't live with me and I didn't benefit in anyway from it, but yeah...

    Velocity account suspended

Not family. But was a friend of the family, as I don’t fly virgin and had all these points I gifted them. But I saw that email and thought I’d look and my account was closed.

    Velocity account suspended

I had this happen tonight. Got the email about updated details and then locked out. Under review, I’ve not used velocity in a very long time. More than 12 months.

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

I only provided my passport and a bank card, and they were the only 2 things I needed. I think your Australian DL should suffice and I would take everything with you just to be safe. But my experience being in the US and opening accounts was rather seamless.

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

It is usually a seamless process. I opened Chase & Bank of America, no issues with opening the accounts with a passport and a second form of ID. Remember to bring your passport and another card, license, or something to be able to prove who you are, etc. Bank of America just asked what address...

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

Oh perfect, yes, I wanted to open an account to make life easy, so this will be on my radar 100%, if I can get that far I will definitely look at opening the US HSBCS account to work alongside my existing account. Right now I primarily use HSBC AU vs Revolut, because it offers 1% cashback and...

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

That is pretty good overall for all the cards. I wanted to open an HSBC account since I have an HSBC back home, but for $50 a month, it is not worth me opening one to pay for any US accounts or send fee-free transfers. I wish there was an option like BOFA with HSBC. But oh well.

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

That would be the most effective way. The issue is if you did not have a US account. Many years ago, you could sign up with AMEX without the need for an ITIN and simply use your passport. I closed my AMEX account about a year after I had obtained the card because I found it hard to maintain...

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

Unless you can link AMEX to a checking account, then the process is going to become annoying. I know if you start falling into default they do offer a "card" transaction later down the track, but that isn't available whilst your account is positive, and I'm not sure you'd want your account...

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

Thanks, that is pretty good for a starting point. I guess its USD so its going to be more in AUD.

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

When you get your instant approval after you get your ITIN, what type of credit limits are you getting, based on being a new ITIN, and with no history?

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

Hmm, all the ones I've opened have been me currently being based in the US. But take heed, example, Chase on the $200 I made, $48 was withheld. So if you're looking at accounts which I suspect there are very few that will allow you to open them without an ITIN, then you're have to factor that...
