It's been on the plans for a while. They aren't able to start work on it until they complete some current projects which allow them to move the "eagle's nest" remote terminal.

If it doesn't look like they are going to improve the visa options for AU passports in the next week, I guess I'd better go do this evisa thing.

Has there been any update on that?

a couple of weeks ago, I was searching for CBR-CGK flights. Every option the QF site gave me was with 2 domestic flights. If it wanted to send me to QF41 from SYD, it would send me via MEL. If it wanted to offer QF39 from MEL, it sent me via SYD.
