Complimentary hotel rooms in Dubai, included in Business fares

Barcelona to Dubai, leaving 16:10, arriving 00:50, then on the Qantas flight from Dubai to Sydney, leaving 09:20, arriving 05:10. Actually the plane was over 90 minutes late out of Dubai, which means we could've had an 7 hour sleep.

Complimentary hotel rooms in Dubai, included in Business fares

Apologies if information about this has been posted previously. We recently flew back from Barcelona to Sydney, and were offered complimentary hotel accommodation in Dubai, due to the layover being over 8 hours. I thought I'd post information about this, as there was limited information...

    QFF status run question

Hi there, I'm going to crowd-source the forum to find the information I need. I'll be 160 SC short of extra platinum benefits (Gold membership for partner). Any suggestions regarding the best way of managing this? SYD - BNE - TVS in J is over $2000 return, SYD - Auckland J is around $1400...

Onde, Liverpool St, Darlinghurst, Sydney (French) Le Pelican, Bourke St, Darlinghurst, Sydney (French Basque) Le Bistro, Crown St, Darlinghurst (French) Sounds like I'm a francophile foodwise, but I'm not, it's just my experience has been these are nice as a solo diner. La Pesa, Liverpool St...

    Romantic Hong Kong Resturant

Hutong and Acqua are great restaurants, and afford fantastic views of the Harbour and the Island. Peking Road is also conveniently located to the Star Ferry terminal and also the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station. The China Club is definitely worth checking out at another time. David Tsang's design...

    First visit to HK

If you're there in time, there's a light show every evening at 8 pm, but it's best seen from Kowloon. You could catch the MTR from Pacific Place to Tsim Sha Tsui (you'll need to change lines), get out and walk to the waterfront, and enjoy the show. Once this is done, you could catch the Star...

    Who Pays for Business?

Each to their own... why are people prepared to pay millions of dollars for housing when cheaper options are available? I fly economy domestically and to Asia; I fly premium economy to Europe and the Americas for leisure. I work for myself and for deductible trips I'll fly Business long-haul...

    Travel to Australia around April/May

Welcome to the forum! It's a broad brief you've posed... are you interested in cities, wilderness or beaches? How do you plan on travelling around Australia? April / May can be mild in Sydney, Adelaide and Perth, but will be cool in Melbourne and Hobart. It will still be mild in Brisbane, and...

    One night in New York!

Why Times Square? It's congested with people just lolling around, the traffic isn't great, and taxis don't like it. Locals avoid it, and there are far nicer and more interesting places to stay in New York.

LHR Arrivals lounge in T3? Any other tips?

We accessed the lounge as QFF Platinums, travelling on QF in Y+, no questions asked.

Why fly business? I don't see the value?

I think the key word is value: how much the Business ticket costs, what the difference between Business and Economy fares would buy you either at home or at your destination, and perceived benefits of the extra space. I'm 6' and 100 kg, and find Economy seats really uncomfortable beyond an 8...

LHR Arrivals lounge in T3? Any other tips?

We accessed the AA Arrivals Lounge at T3 in June 2011, having flown to LHR on QF in premium economy. We are both QFF Platinum. Had to show boarding passes. It's on the 2nd floor, not particularly well sign-posted. There are a large number of showers. Free wifi. Basic breakfast with continental...

Qantas Business fares to US on sale

CX don't seem to be offering cheaper Business fares in April / May 2012, ex SYD. Maybe it's a MEL thing.
