    AFF Membership levels

Same here (apart from the fact that the software would not run on any of my machines) I really don't mind some ads but I just noticed that I use the site far less than I used to last year. I used to screen most discussions as it was *fun* but... the design has changed and I find the new...

Who's cancelled their Velocity credit card?

Then you're likely to pay very high interest rates and you don't get interest free periods either! I would consider refinancing ie paying off the card(s) using a personal loan. And STOP using credit cards! [just my personal opinion and not to be confused with financial advice which I cannot...

Who's cancelled their Velocity credit card?

Now my own posting got falsified to make me look like I advertise/support a certain VIP Airport Lounge. I find this highly questionable and worse than the recent "community updates" spam.

Who's cancelled their Velocity credit card?

Did you insert a Credit Card advertisement into your posting [between text and signature] or was your posting modified? Did you consent?

    Credit Card Offers

Or the other way round: Amex offered me a no annual fee Gold credit card the other day and I'd be interested to know why Amex apparently DOES NOT know that I already have a no annual fee Amex Gold credit card

Urgent Seating Question - Flying Tonight

Yes (but as FF Silver you're at the bottom of the 'status' list anyway ;)) I'd say that's your best bet. Is it actually possible to check in at Darwin's Qantas Club?

Business upgrades - How do you get one

sure? then you might consider paying the difference to business every now and then, resulting in far more points and status credits and leading to more upgrade opportunities

Article: Jetstar takes aim at Top End

Indeed. Some top-enders might think this is great news but it's not. I spent too much time on those red eye flights anyway but 4.5h on JETSTAR? No thanks. And imagine all those well-paid public servants up there getting used to flying cattle class 8)

Airlines refuse to change seating policies

And next a card proving that a male is suitable to be placed next to a female? And perhaps another card proving that a guy just looks like a bogan but isnt one? No thanks.

Airlines refuse to change seating policies

Finally a good reason for demanding NZ to join Australia.

Airlines refuse to change seating policies

And of course the implicit accusation of all males being potential child molesters. Aussies who happily surrender their privacy rights and agree to be treated like potential thieves when entering Coles and similar supermarkets probably won't even notice 8)

Airlines refuse to change seating policies

    Gender-based discrimination is the issue.

Airlines refuse to change seating policies

Sure, and certainly not occupying exit row seats as seen on a domestic flight last year. One brat blocking 3 exit row seats even though it violated regulations. No I could not bother complaining as it was a short flight. I was just amazed.
