I view this as irrelevant. SQ deleted Gold Coast as a Scoot base. I liked that option as the SQ seats on the A350 are soooo uncomfortable. At least the Scoot seats were OK.

Just a simple request from me. Stop darkening the windows on the Dreamliner in daytime. In fact, leave the darkening to the passenger at all times. This simple issue reflects the arrogance of decision-makers that deem they know what is best for their customers.

And, the reverse is true. Those seeking a dark plane to watch movies IMPOSES on those seeking to view the scenery. Not a fan of AMERICAN cough movies (as offered on airlines), and find rear seat screens very draining.

I'm also a shades up flyer. Love to see where I'm going. For that reason, I try not to fly Dreamliner. I've read several reasons offered for 'forced' shade closure, but I'd like to learn the 'official' reason from a responsible airline exec.
