Mertola on a Friday night, but there was hardly anyone around to see it. Most restaurants were closed and at 7 pm we were the only customers in one that was open. The wild boar stew was great and Mrs. jxv’s lamb chops did not disappoint either.

Saw exact same thing down here last night. Rushed in to get my good camera, but cloud was over the lot when I came out.

Finally a decent office view in Kazanlak.

Wandering around Koprivshtitsa and the drive here (with a diversion up to the Arch of Freedom) through the Central Balkan National Park afforded some great views.

I bet the horse handled better than our little buzz box car... reminded me of driving around Madagascar, albeit these roads weren't dirt at least......
