I can get a business award on China Eastern so am wondering if i book it just in case. Used Lifemiles and nothing showing on the date of travel

We have a Oka-Icn-Syd J in 3 weeks....Oz has been my "go to" award carrier with Lifemiles for the last few years so this news is concerning!

Are you guys trying to do back up award bookings if you have spare points in other programs?

Sorry actually to FRA.I think it is a 380 but the Oz website is hopeless.

Would do if I could but finding two seats in F Australia to Europe return six months out for specific dates is almost mission impossible.

I'm new to SQ and have been looking at dates for this month, October, December for suites .... pretty much have all come up with availability. Granted only advantage, but given I've got no status I've been impressed with what one can book.

Did my first AMEX transfer yesterday .... as soon as they land in my SQ account I'll be booking two suites CDG-SYD for early May. Looking forward to many more SQ suite adventures.

I’m assuming you are impressed by availability coming from QF but SQ is different and much more fair.

If you are going to splurge on advantage fares then you may want to select some flights with new suites as these are not available currently on saver (apart from PVG).

Have decided to bite the bullet and book a China Eastern J award flight through QF points as a back up. I feel guilty taking an award seat that hopefully I will never use but I just can't risk 16 hours in Y given my circulation issues.

Correct on QF. Very pleasant surprise to see so much availability. My TA (AFF member) has clued me up on the new cabins.

Just beware you may lose all desire for QF F after flying SQ and OZ suites

So Asiana have announced they are keeping their A380s.
Say they will cut routes but none announced yet.
