LATAM Exit Leaves Huge Hole for Oneworld
LATAM Airlines will exit Oneworld, leaving the alliance with no member airlines in South America. Instead, LATAM will create a new strategic partnership with Delta Air Lines in the USA.

After exiting Oneworld, LATAM Airlines intends to remain unaligned to any of the three global airline alliances - Oneworld, Star Alliance and SkyTeam. But LATAM, which is the largest airline in South America, will keep most of its existing bilateral partnerships including its codeshare agreement with Qantas.

Hiking the Camino de Santiago in 2019
Trip report by GoldCanyon340 | The time has arrived when it can finally be said, "We are hiking the Camino de Santiago next month." It's been a long time in planning, starting in 2013 and originally slated for 2017 but put on hold until this year. The flights are booked, the first aubergues are reserved and Mrs340 and myself are soon on our way. We are hiking 800km from the second week in September to roughly the third week of October. read more...
Hong Kong Trip or "Extreme Suiting"
Trip report by harvyk | So a few months back, my previous Hong Kong suit finally gave way. I purchased a replacement suit jacket off the rack from a men's wear store, and a new shirt from K-Mart. The next day I threw out the K-Mart shirts and went back to the men's wear store to purchase a replacement shirt. This was hardly cheap. Now whilst the shirt and jacket "fitted", they never really fitted like a custom suit does. So I started thinking about heading back to Hong Kong to get a custom suit made. read more...
AFF Member Profile
This week, we interviewed AFF member Max Samuels from Melbourne. Max Samuels joined Australian Frequent Flyer in 2010 and has so far made 427 posts.

Q: Most recent flight?
A: Brisbane to Melbourne with Qantas.

Q: Favourite destination?
A: USA. It's such a big country with a wide diversity of landscape and people. Plus I went to University there so I have lots of friends - kind of like a second home to me.

Q: What's one thing you would never travel overseas without?
A: Medical kit! Unless I am travelling to the USA where drug stores are a plenty, I always make sure I carry pills for a wide variety of medical issues, particularly gastro, nausea, allergies, pain... and of course something for sleeping. I learned the hard way years ago in India when I didn't have anything with me... and got really sick... now I have a mobile pharmacy!

Q: What's one piece of advice you would give to a new AFF member?
A: Don't take it too seriously!

Q: Favourite thread on AFF?
A: The "outrageous thoughts on flying" thread. It is basically a free-for-all of outrageous thoughts and is entertaining to read.
