10,000 Woolworths rewards points for a travel insurance policy.

I did read that one - and you stated in that post that you were unsure of the T&Cs yourself and eligibility for points to be paid out on multiple policies But then you proceeded to take out 20 policies - so was just wondering if something changed? Was the data point having some report getting...

10,000 Woolworths rewards points for a travel insurance policy.

I understand the wording is confusing and conflicting - but I'd also read it as you can only get the offer on the first policy period (despite some others reporting different) As this deal was pretty widely spread on Ozbargain and they've already 'fixed' the 10k point bonus for everyone - they...

10,000 Woolworths rewards points for a travel insurance policy.

Can I ask - if you've only received x2 lots of points what makes you confident you'll receive points on the other 18 policies? T&Cs now state "Your selected personalised offer only applies to the first policy period unless otherwise specified"

JAL 777-300ER back on Sydney route

It's a great release! (have been tracking myself in hope) But I dunno.....do we really need it advertised immediately as a front page article? 24 hours later and they'll all be gone like usual these days with the spread of information....

Is all of Jan a blackout period?

Yes - there was a grand total of one day of J availability on CI - not exactly plenty and not in the first half of Jan. The rest in early January is all China Eastern as mentioned.

10,000 Woolworths rewards points for a travel insurance policy.

Ozbargain will ruin this deal as it does with most things. You'll get thousands of people taking out policies now with fake details.

Is all of Jan a blackout period?

Those are China Eastern via Shanghai.....so a slightly different 'standard' of airline to CI which has zero availability for the first half of January. China Eastern reward seats look to be pretty much always available - if people want to fly them.

What's up with Amex referral offers/system?

I've noticed a worsening trend where the Amex referral offers I can generate off a Platinum card are usually no better (and occasionally worse) than the 'general offers' on their own website or those offered to partners. This is highlighted with the fact that Amex has just given all its...

Nah they are all gone - click on the handful left and you'll see the correct pricing.

    TG/KQ MEL-KGL US$1074 Business class return

Prices look to have been adjusted backed to normal rates now at over 7k - so was obviously an error......Surprised it took them this long to fix though! Good luck to those that got a ticket.

Has AFF just become Point Hacks 2.0?

Yes I did mention that I was aware of the new ownership group and their background in advertising/sales/finance products. I also listened to the podcast which mentioned part of the reason for selling AFF to these particular buyers was the fact they were going to keep things 'as-is' but I just...

Has AFF just become Point Hacks 2.0?

I had a previous active account for many many years - but may have lost the ability to login! Was just expressing my opinion and disappointment with the direction AFF seems to be going down and the two websites becoming increasingly similar....but I guess it's out of their control (newish...

Has AFF just become Point Hacks 2.0?

Now I've always enjoyed AFF (and especially the Forums) as the 'best' source of information for Australians but I must admit after reading the most recent article, which contained TWO seperate prominent credit card advertisements inserted smack bang into the article, alongside noticing that the...

Qantas upgrades SYD-JNB to A380 service

Might just be me but I feel like telling someone the exact route and date that reward seats are available on is akin to letting them copy off your answers in a test - make them do some work/study!

Article: Reward Seat Release Patterns Have Changed Fundamentally

100% - as someone with Qantas Gold Status I think this is a slap in the face personally and a 'removal' of one of the biggest benefits of having high status.

Qantas upgrades SYD-JNB to A380 service

These First Class reward seats were released last week - people didn't really need to 'act quickly' as mentioned - until you decide to publish an article telling everyone about them....

Article: How I Redeemed Points for $36,000 of Travel Last Year

I totally agree with this. Whilst Points and the odd good redemption will still exist (theres too much money for the airlines/banks in points!) - they have also now become too main-stream. The rise of social media and everyone sharing the 'info/secrets' has meant that the competition for these...

    Service to find award flights?

Yep totally agree - time is a valuable commodity and outsourcing it can be a good idea. Was just wondering if there were any specific reasons for the jump in prices as I was looking at asking for help. I guess inflation hits everywhere!

    Another grubby QANTAS lounge experience...

The majority of the Qantas Lounges in Australia are a disgrace. I don't understand how they have let the Sydney/Melbourne lounges get so dilapidated in what should be their 'prime' locations for not only Australians but also International travellers to help advertise the brand.

    Service to find award flights?

I've never used the AFF service and I'm sure it's great but just noticed that with the 'new' Award Flight Assist service comes some 'new' pricing....it's now 10% of the fare price. This would mean assistance with a return Business Class flight to Europe or the Americas could now cost upwards...
