SYD MEL 737 Late morning flight Tomato quiche with pea mash, and for once, the mash wasn't a dry paste! This one was surprisingly delightful. Other choices were the panini and a sweet option which didn't suit my tastebuds.

MEL SYD 737, late afternoon/early evening flight Steak was the last option left, and it definitely suffered under the reheating, being quite chewy. Vegetables were done nicely. Unfortunately due to a earlier than usual cabin preparation, pax were rushed to complete their meal and no drink...

The rear J cabin definitely gives a more private feel than the forward cabin, albeit minor W traffic traversing for bathrooms. 11A still up there on my list of preferred seats!

CBR lounges are definitely the better ones in the domestic network. Club lounge has better views than the J lounge!

MEL SYD early afternoon flight on a 737 First time being offered 3 choices! Sweet corn soup, the Ploughmans plate or a Shepard's pie. I was torn between the ploughman's plate and the pie but chose the latter as I was feeling a bit more peckish. Pie was decent, but the peas seemed like a warm...

Would love if this extended to all domestic flights!

SYD MEL QF449 First time with the new menu but only two choices, pea and mint soup or the cheese plate (with gherkins, crackers, grapes etc). Went with the soup and it was definitely aromatic. Definitely enjoyed the soup as a snack as opposed to a heavy meal at this time of the afternoon.

MEL SYD on a morning flight. First time seeing this offered, a mixed greens bowl with edamame, pumpkin, nuts and more. Must say this was a treat, better than the usual frittata! Super attentive and friendly crew.
