Joyce was willing to tarnish the brand in the name of profit. Selling lounge passes doesn't sound so bad compared to the everything else.

If I recall correctly, I saw something like $40 or $50 in the portal for PER or SYD QC in early December. I remember thinking it was pretty reasonable.

Like most airports, Perth airport charges a $4 surcharge to taxis that enter the taxi rank (which is passed into the passenger). After picking up a passenger and before they can leave the taxi area, the drivers pay the $4 at a boom gate. The machines only accept gold coins. Why!?!? Is it a tax...

FWIW, I was in the Qantas Club at Sydney yesterday between 2PM and 7:30PM using a domestic pass (thanks again, @Mort!) linked a couple of days ago. The lounge was dead for the majority of the afternoon.

The Qantas website says that lounge invites my not be added to a booking during busy periods such as school holidays. Is this common for domestic lounges during each school holidays or does the website just say that to cover their butts?
