Looks like they didn't get the confirmation bias they were after and now have their tail between their legs i.e. they've been active and posting yesterday but haven't bothered to come back to this thread.

I too also stayed in a hotel in Melbourne this week; checked out on Thursday and already got my points (including bonus points and bonus elite qualifying nights). Don't think this makes a difference, but booked via the IHG app.

How long has it been since you checked out? Some hotels can take up to a week before it shows up in past stays with points allocated

They've been around for a while in the lounge network; I had them at Brisbane before (they're called pastizzi). Definitely a solid option to the beef sausage rolls which disappeared in a flash!

Are dim sims a regular occurrence in the Melbourne lounge? Saw them today as I walked past to go to the gate as my flight was now 'boarding'. (I don't usually fly past 5 p.m. so was very surprised)
