Australian Reports of the Virus Spread

Absolutely! Weve had only 2 confirmed positive cases in our family yet ALL of us have clearly also been positive (judging by symptoms and timing) but it is impossible to get pcr tests where we live. That's 8 unrecorded positive cases in our family alone. We have tried daily to get tested but...

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

Was just going to say this exact thing. I am arriving in Sydney early December with my Canadian husband, who obviously doesn't have Medicare. Not exactly sure yet how we will tackle the proof of vaccination for venues/stores etc.

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

Thank you for explaining that to me....super helpful! A bit apprehensive about the fact it can only be submitted a week before departure.......if your vaccination proof is not accepted then you only get a week to try and sort it out. I'm going to stay positive and hope it will all work out fine!

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

Interesting. Hopefully this is what Qantas adopts. Can easily supply that kind of vaccination evidence. On the NSW govt website i notice it mentions that international arrivals must - prove full vaccination as recognised by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) and have their vaccination...

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

Is there any information about what is considered sufficient proof of vaccination from overseas? I'm arriving back in Australia December 1st with my Canadian husband for an extended visit. We are travelling Qantas and haven't found much info about what will be accepted. Still have a few weeks...

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

That article goes on to say "or as otherwise determined by the state or territory of arrival". Guess that is where NSW home quarantine for fully vaxxed arrivals would come into play??

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

Agree. And the other thing is that this article is talking only about casual, "touristy" leisure travel. I would think that most people have accepted that that scenario is quite a long way off yet. I think what most Australians want is to be reunited with their families and/or to be allowed back...

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

I can't even laugh because deplorably for so many people (safely in Australia with their own families close by) what you say is EXACTLY how they think.:rolleyes:

Travelling to Australia During COVID-19 (Discussion)

Thank you! I am thinking it will probably be best at this stage to wait (and wait and wait like we have been the past 6 months) I just wasn't sure if there might have been someone that has had experience recently with travelling from the USA. We will definitely also be using a travel agent, I...

Travelling to Australia During COVID-19 (Discussion)

I don't know if we are trying to do the impossible here, but I am wanting to book a flight from Canada to Sydney for my husband (Canadian citizen), myself (Aus citizen) and our 2 and 3 year old children (dual citizens). We want to transit through the USA and with American Airlines suspending...

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

As someone who doesn't cry very easily, I can't believe how hard I cried at seeing people on a plane.....one day, one day

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

This is my first ever message in this community but as I read your opening paragraph re: son's fight cancellation an anguished "NOOOOOO" involuntarily broke from me :( As an Australian living in Canada and wanting to return to Australia with my husband and children I feel your pain. I don't even...
