A couple of weeks ago at MEL there as no cider, only a couple of different beers and a non-alcoholic beer. Selection and variety can be very poor these days.

Melbourne Wednesday afternoon - very busy. People wandering around for 5 mins to find a seat. Queues for hot food (mini quiches) and front desk.

I thought the Thai chicken soup was excellent too.

I have had a guest that was planning to arrive at the MEL lounge 30 mins after me. I discussed this with the staff member at the lounge when I arrived and she said no problem. When he showed up, I scanned my boarding pass and added 1 guest, he scanned his and in we went.

Possibly was that - I assumed it was the toast machine. Last time I was in the BNE lounge I remember being served pancakes by the staff so assumed it would be same again.

BNE-CNS-BNE last weekend. Both ends enforced the priority boarding - even when I arrived late. Priority baggage was a different story - it seems the orange priority bag tag means your bag will be last out at CNS. BNE was a different story - first bag off the carousel. Not sure if the issue is...

I have always taken my wife and 2 kids through priority boarding with me (always booked on the same PNR) with no issues. Recently I took a work colleague though priority boarding at Melbourne (he was booked on a separate ticket me) and he was let through okay.
