Today I received an email saying I will be able to retain my Platinum status, by flying an eligible flight by 28th March, 2021. So perhaps the article sent out today, Has Virgin Australia Forgotten its Loyal Frequent Flyers?, is now out of date.

Out of the blue today we received an email from Skiddoo who advised we can go ahead and cancel our flights and get a full refund. However, the refund will take 8-10 weeks to process due to a high volume of cancellations. I can't work out if that is a Skiddoo issue or an Airline issue.

About to go through this process and get money back for 2 return flights scheduled for June/July this year with Vietnam Airlines booked through Skiddoo. It is impossible to get in touch with them. Will be putting through a dispute with Amex on the flight purchase transaction. Then contact...

I got it and I am Platinum member. Open up the Velocity Frequent Flyer app and click on 'Offers'. it should appear there for activation. I do not think it is targeted.

They are very stingy on supplying beverages of all kinds on Etihad compared with SQ. The only good thing about Etihad are their lounges in Abu Dhabi. They're top notch.

I don’t know. Have u tried plugging in the desired location and seeing which flights come up. Go onto the Velocity website and see in points plus pay what you can do. or go to Skyskanner and see which airlines come up. Work out which code share ones u can book thru velocity.

Do not fly Etihad. Singapore are excellent.

They renewed my gold membership when I was pregnant as I couldn’t fly much. That was a few years ago. Same thing, I wrote a letter to VA and they kindly kept me Gold.

Yes, I agree, it is very confusing now. Anyway, when you check in, at each port, they will usually tell you what Lounge you can access. That has been my recent experience.

Premium economy way better than economy x. I recently flew Economy X from syd to Lax. Premium is like the old business class and small cabin. Economy x is basically more leg room and you get served first. Go Premium if it works out cheaper

I’m keen to hear more about this too as I want to refinance very soon.
