Can anyone advise if lounge access is available to business class passenger who does not hold QF status. If I read it correctly, given there is no domestic business lounge in CNS, the answer is no as you need status for Qantas Club.

Yeah it was just weird because I was on the phone with VA to confirm something about the flights I wanted, went back to their website and they had disappeared. Probably good that it happened before I actually booked as I don't have the hassle now and reorganising my schedule

For your research, know that if it was on offer then we would use it. There's often a substantial difference between price offered by OTA and direct with airline, and when you multiply that by 8 for our family, it ends up being quite a bit of money!!

Was recently in the USA and took numerous flights with DL. As a Platinum VA I was always bumped to the bottom of the list when it came to C+. How do you book a non-light fare through an OTA? I did a dummy SYD-LAX search through Kayak and all results returned only the "light" option (you can tell as only 1 bag is included). Is there any way to choose a higher fare class without paying extra through VA's website?

Thanks for that reply. I got stuck last US trip as I wanted to catch an earlier flight out of SMF but they wouldn't allow it as it was a VA flight number. Otherwise with status it would not have been an issue. Think I'll get them ticketed separately as there is no real benefit to have VA flight...
