Thanks! And thanks! Regarding the credit limit, the Surpass card I got has a fairly low credit limit. If I were to pay the ATO in batches (pay say $1000, then pay off the card via Wise) and repeat within the month...would this be possible and not have a negative affect on the account?

Another question - can you pay the ATO with your US Amex and receive full points and for it to count towards the minimum spend?

Does anyone know if closing a charge card affects your credit score? I have the gold (12 months open) and green charge card (6 months open). No retention bonus offered on the gold just yet. Alternatively I could look to downgrade it to another green card.

Yes you can refer straight away once you have a referral link on your profile. AMEX varies the referral bonus. It may be 200k or 275K and an elevated one for you (70k). Usually the person applying will need to open the link incognito. Card is <5 business days in my experience

Similar to me - opened a Gold charge card May 23. Green card in Oct 23. FICO sept initially was ~680 and now it's dropped to 660's. Pay all the accounts on time and put a small amount of spend on the cards. I tried a 3rd GT for a Hilton Aspire but was in pop up jail.
