I achieved gold recently for the first time and got bag tag/card a few weeks later. I got a silver pack a few weeks before that. I've read the bag tags are unreliable and it's better to use the print out tags.

Yes Any flight selection of SYD/MEL in economy past midnight will produce the increase.

It seems there is still a problem with the multi city tool. If transit is within the same day (before midnight) the flights will be charged as one, but if under 24 hours and a overnight transit the flights will be charged separately. This is not how points were charged before the May...
