ZL has interlines with both DL and EY. At this stage, ZL only confirmed plans to upgrade the DL interline to a formal FF partnership.

More likely Nauru got a better wet lease contract/deal and/or Bonza was allegedly behind on wet-lease payments. Wet-leases don't come cheap.

Can't see any interested parties buying out AB in full. Maybe PAG and/or Bain are waiting for it to "fall over" before declaring interest in the 737-8 leases for REX or Virgin if the Lessors are to 'repo 'those aircraft.

There are reports going around that Batik Air Indonesia will be pulling their remaining 2-3x weekly ADL-DPS flights from July 2024, completing the withdrawal of the Batik group from ADL. This leaves JQ as the only airline on ADL-DPS non-stop. On a related note, VA may potentially re-instate...

^^ Agreed. QR being a 'cornerstone investor' in VA with 20% at most in a direct trade sale with Bain (per current regulations), with FIRB approval.

Well I do remember one theory of ol SQ buying out Velocity (only) and integrating that in Krisflyer, considering Velocity was the most profitable part of the VA 1.0 group business.

Air New Zealand was then owned by Brierley Investments with SQ holding a minor stake in NZ in Ansett's final years. There was no NZ government involvement until they had to bail NZ out of trouble (which included taking a majority stake) from the Ansett fiasco...

Whilst UA buying VA would be an interesting scenario, can't see UA past a minor stake at best. Darkhorse could be DL pulling off a LATAM (i.e taking them away from AA) in Australia to get 'VA back' (from UA) , but I don't see that happening either. DL are largely only expanding in Australia...

From past posts, VA generally doesn't through-check on separate bookings, even on partners. You'll be required to collect your bags in BNE Domestic and take them with you to BNE International to re-check in.
