    No, you can have pre check without green card or citizenship. However you can't apply for it directly. I still get it through the airline, but they have announced that this is ending. Global Entry will become even more useful then

    I have had border agents ask me about my other passport - which I had used in that EU country in the past. Linking by name and DOB is pretty straightforward, so they must do that in some places.

    Right, like Australia is so reciprocal, then why don't they insist on GE for Australian citizens? Answer: Because the Australian government would have to spend some money to make it happen I believe.
