Discussion/Q&A on Best QF Status Run Options

Unfortunately not, the 180SC's needed factors in the additional 50SC's from loyalty bonus. Is MH/JQ between Australia/Asia the only value flights nowadays? She's not too keen on flying to DPS.

Discussion/Q&A on Best QF Status Run Options

Does any one know any good value paid status runs exPER? My mum is 180SC's short of retaining SG and lives in Perth. (Membership renewal late September). Is 180SC's exPER, for around $1,000 doable without DSC promotions? or am I just dreaming? Many thanks.

Status run or take Qantas 80k offer?

I am a little confused, can someone explain what this means? I have always been under the assumption that for each DSC promotion Qantas does, the flights need to be booked during the promotion. Are you able to book flights during a DSC promotion, and then add flights to that same PNR...

Accomodation for Cancelled Qantas Link Flights due to Weather

Why am I not surprised.

Accomodation for Cancelled Qantas Link Flights due to Weather

Surely, the additional fuel burn, accomodation and other incidental costs incurred by flying back to ADL, outweigh the difference in fines between ADL and SYD? (At least I would have thought...)

Status run or take Qantas 80k offer?

I am in the exact same situation, 130SC's short, based in Perth, and cannot fly internationally (expired passport). Domestic status runs ex PER aren't very good value.

50% more status credits with Qantas Business Rewards to 19/6

I wondered the same thing, and watched this video, which provides some insight on how Qantas handles these sorts of things. In my experience, the status credits have to come in before the membership year ends, otherwise you don't re-qualify. I usually aim to have mine all in 2 months before.

    Dress standard in Business

There probably is a dress code for Qantas J lounges. In terms of my experience, when flying J domestically, I have had people sitting next to me wearing singlets and shorts, along with typical 'tradie' clothes. So if there is a rule, it certainly isn't enforced.

Accomodation for Cancelled Qantas Link Flights due to Weather

Hmmm yeah, I will keep that in mind for the future. Thanks. That sounds awesome, made me laugh!

Accomodation for Cancelled Qantas Link Flights due to Weather

Yeah, thats what I would have assumed. I did mention that SYD wasn't my home port to the QantasLink staff, but they said they provided the same outcome (no accomodation, food vouchers, etc) for everyone on the flight, regardless of if SYD was their home port. Weird. Seems like you were treated...

Accomodation for Cancelled Qantas Link Flights due to Weather

Hi All, I just wanted to share a recent (and first-time) experience I had regarding a cancelled Qantas Link flight out of Sydney due to weather. Hoping to gain some additional knowledge in case this happens to me again. I had arrived in Sydney at 6am on the red-eye from Perth, and left the...

ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

I booked an upcoming J ticket, BNE-PER (QF767) in late August, the aircraft is a -200, and the seat map is showing up as a 2-2-2 config, with 6 rows of J. I can only assume this sector will be flown with EBG/EBL, although I haven't seen this a/c flown on long-haul domestic sectors? (I could be...

50% more status credits with Qantas Business Rewards to 19/6

Does this rule change affect if this 50% bonus SC's offer is valid or not. Eg. My QBR account isn't registered for GST, so it is ineligible to earn points from people travelling under my ABN. Will I still be able to put my ABN on bookings to earn 50% more SC's. There is nothing in the T&C for...

50% more status credits with Qantas Business Rewards to 19/6

I am interested in using this offer to get over the line for platinum, however I am in doubt. I am registered for QBR, but my ABN is not registered for GST, so I have never been able to earn QBR points from myself or employees listing our ABN on their bookings. Does anyone know if this will...

    Jetstar security breach - MEL

I have also always wondered this, for international this info is obviously required, but surely domestic deserves the same level of security and identity verification?

Qantas Domestic Business Lounge Access Under 18

I ended up forgetting about this thread, haha. As an update for anyone who comes across it in the future, I ended up just flashing my BP and walked right through, didn't even speak to the QF reception staff. However, I did see what other members meant about alcohol being scattered throughout...

Qantas Domestic Business Lounge Access Under 18

Ah, I didn't realise. In that case, under 18's really shouldn't be allowed in the lounge. I guess I'm just going to have to chill out in the terminal buying overpriced airport food. So much for the perks of that J ticket.... haha!

Qantas Domestic Business Lounge Access Under 18

Thats exactly what I was thinking of doing! But I would feel so awkward going up to a random stranger in the terminal and asking them if they would like to come to the business lounge with me.... haha! + I thought to have a guest you need QFF Gold, Platinum... ect... Or is having a J class...

Qantas Domestic Business Lounge Access Under 18

Yikes. Yeah, thats what I find to be so utterly stupid. Solo under 18's are allowed in an environment where alcohol is served (the plane), but if they wish to request alcohol during the flight, they are ID'd. (Which is perfectly acceptable.) This process should extend to the lounges, but it...
