Agree - once you include food and baggage often the LCC seem to not appear to be that 'value proposition'. Keeping an eye out for the promo fares with other airlines can often realise a great fare.

Unfortunately our family is not often home during the day. So wouldn't expect that unless we can install a decent battery system then we wouldn't recoop the costs too quickly. Will monitor the battery pricing and suspect they will improve rapidly.

I had a look through - not so much blown away by the bargains. But we'll see how it develops. It will be interesting to watch how the 'Amazon Effect' may influence some other retails locally and ASX movements.
