I thought the 2013 Squid Ink had too much sweetness and oak for me. But this did settle over 2 to 3 days (I didn't buy it via a good offer from crackka and regret a bit). However I thought the Legacy was more balanced and complex with length and purity; a stunner. I hope I' m on the right track

RD do you mean Maverick? I bought Maverick Bilich the Red, a SGM, and I thought it was lovely, low tannin, raspberries and cream. Is there a Maverick shiraz for sale?

Vinmofo has had Capel Vale 2014 Whispering Hills Shiraz on For $45, but today only via email to me Sixty Darling Street has it on for $40 by the six (email [email protected] or [email protected]). The offer on vinmofo is not there today!

AC, all I'm doing is pointing out that a price drop from $45 to $25 is not really such a price drop when in NZ where wine is usually more expensive the price is lower. At any rate, sorry to have been a problem for you again pal.

By the way full price for the Cave De Roquebrun 'Les Fiefs D'Aupenac' Shiraz Blend 2013 on Vinofo but in NZ Wine Direct is 22-99 not 45-00 per bottle; cheaper in NZ! Also the bordeaux Marsau 2012 was selling on Langton auctions for it's 2010 at 10-00 to 20-00; right price for largely tank...

Vedder, I agree. Except that sometimes beauty is in the eye of the beholder. A sow's ear might be someone else's silk purse. But others would argue that a dud is the same spelled front or back.

By the way, the Vinmofo 2013 Maverick The Red SGM and the 2013 111 Assoc Th Legacy are 2 v special wines in my opinion (for good reasons!). I'll have to post some tasting notes.

The Eligo is worth that I think; just went for it.

The packaging looks stunning Rug; hopefully what is inside is as good! Not like that Vinmofo wine that was advertised as a trophy winner; was for best label at Cairns Wine Show.
