    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

I reckon "extortion" is perhaps a tad strong for USD30. They already have a more flexible approach than many airlines in that you don't have to be related to the person you're redeeming for. In your introduction you said "I feel like ive read every thread on this forum, so Im a paper expert"...

Interesting pricing [Award sale - book 'til 28/2, travel 15/3/18 to 9/1/19]

Maybe you should do your sums again and then start booking. CBR-SYD: minimum points for a Business Award: 15,500 (20,500 with no co-pay) outside promotion period, 10,800 (15,800) during promotion period as of NOW. MEL-PER: (need I go on?)

Should there be some kind of censorship?

Not sure why the dummy spit, but in any case preferable in my opinion to the ugliness that went on with the early discovery of the Velocity reward points discount. This wasn't exactly proving the Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer conjecture, but the strutting quickly got to be unbearable and the...

Avianca "Lifemiles" - Questions and Discussion

It does recognize CBR, just not if you specify SQ as the airline. Not sure how much of the (SYD-)CBR-SIN is actually bookable, LifeMiles shows availability even when SQ itself only shows Waitlist.

I met the Dalai Lama in 1983 a year or so after he'd been to Bali, and I can't say it put me off the idea of going there.

Best routing for J reward Japan and Korea trip

You'd be looking at NRT-MEL. 72k on QF, 84k on JL.

Best routing for J reward Japan and Korea trip

JL metal now flies out of HND only, I think, so you'd have to do a transfer from NRT (if taking JL from MEL) to HND, which is no big deal. Keeping it all on JL rather than QF+JL would be more efficient from a points perspective since they're on different award charts. I've also done MEL-HKG-ICN...

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

Yep, surely not. It means you get 7,408 ( I think they round up). And then if you send them back to Krisflyer, you'd lose more. You would just send the Amex points to whichever program you need in the first place. If you're in research mode, understanding things like this is a good start...
