Keeping track of your points earn and spend

We also use a spreadsheet but mainly for $ spend to keep an eye out on the budget. Each of the transaction we log in there has a points earned calculation and I believe the estimates are quite spot on. Occasional tweak is necessary. We're only spending points for long haul to EU flights each...

My recent changi experience with family

Thanks for sharing. We're flying through Changi in April this year although we land at 6am and fly out at midnight(ish). We have a few friends living there we're planning on catching up with, and we are considering not getting a hotel room for the day. Hopefully we could spend our time going...

Flying from Melbourne to Mauritius return

Thanks for that @magnacartic. That's quite a lot of flying around and way past our destination. Standing in front of the conveyor belt yesterday at MEL we briefly discussing the option to fly EY&AZ in J on MEL - AUH - VCE route with a stopover of cca. 10 days in AUH flying back from VCE. Flying from Melbourne to Mauritius return

We're planning on going to Mauritius in August 2017 (open dates), and I have started looking at the options of flying J. The fastest way would definitely be flying Virgin from Melb to Perth and then hop onto Air Mauritius, but we don't want to spend thousands of dollars for that. We have about...

    Etihad lost baggage process

Flew MLB - AUH - BEG - LJU on two different tickets so we had a day in AUH. But we did check the bags in MLB all the way through so we didn't have to deal with them in AUH. Arrived in LJU but no bags. They found them within 24h, placed on the plane and got delivered to the door exactly 52 hours...

Etihad from Melbourne to Abu Dhabi

I've flown Melbourne - Abu Dhabi a couple weeks back in J. I wasn't expecting much except to be fast tracked, left alone by the staff and not have most of the butts and bellyfat being pushed into my face when I sat in my seat while other passengers were walking down the aisle or dealing with the...

    Fed up with flying economy

Thanks mate. Will dive right in. The thing that is most elusive to me at the moment is finding out how/and where to find info on points purchase (when I'm short) for a certain route. Normally I'll be flying East Coast Australia to Central Europe.

    Fed up with flying economy

Finally made the plunge and signed up here after I realised I just (again) over paid for economy tickets from AUH to LJU. Pumped to see so much valuable information although it does seem a bit overwhelming just starting out on this quest for better flying experience.
