Any intention to open it or as more of a show piece?

New VIM email with the 6 Litre 2005 Shiraz for a lazy $400 :P Also the Parous Shiraz 2012, I still have a couple of i think it's the 09 or 10 and it's really lovely.

I have a case of the Familia, tad fruit bombish, needs a little time to settle but certainly drinkable.

Happy to do 6 packs spend up to $400 or so Not really fussed on variety just trying to add some interesting stuff to the cellar

Re: Vinomofo secret wine deals Anyone have any recommendations on the secret deals.. I'm a little overwhelmed for choice with 30 or 40.. i'd buy a couple of cases but don't have the time to go through all of them work out what they all are :( Happy to take advice!

Did a tasting @ St Hallets 2 weeks ago, had the reward and I don't remember it standing out.. which isn't a great sign.. though it also means it wasn't terrible.. Lots of fruit, less of the more interesting (to me anyway) chocolate and mint flavours Best of the stuff they had available for...

I think based on the above I might pass on this one :/ still a little scarred by my Mitolo (which i don't mind as a wine but don't like as a concept.)

Re: Mitolo We opened one last night, certainly needs the decanter or vinturi.. Really looks the business in the glass, dark, long legs. Red fruit upfront in abundance. Some people have said fruit bomb and that's probably a fair description. Lacks any real finish. Bottle disappeared...

Thanks for the heads up :) As is usually the case with VM i ended up getting both.. Usually not a fan of YV shiraz but everyone here seemed pretty keen on it.
