Thanks for that. I ended up booking it myself. So I've booked this trip with the following layovers MEL - SYD - HKG - PVG PVG - HKG HKG - BNE - MEL Which nets me a nice 460 SC for $4,411. HKG - PVG is with Dragon air, and PVG to HKG is with Cathay Pacific, so if I've calculate this correctly...

To be eligible for the offer do I have to book it myself or can I go through a travel agent that might have a good deal this week?

Yes I would make gold with that trip as it currently stands, if I do many more work trips between now and April it may get as far as platinum.

That's true on those routes with QF there is only business. Is there any particular way you would go when travelling these routes to get those extra status credits? For example MEL > SYD > SIN > HKG > PVG? (Just guessing)

Just curious as to what kind of job you guys do to have such an incredible amount of travel? I've just started travelling for work just over 12 months ago and love it! Would love for it to continue, especially internationally. So far most of it's just domestic between Sydney and Melbourne. But...
