Hi there, just wondering if anyone has any advice or tips relating to delayed baggage on a VA flight? I travelled on Wednesday to MCY from MEL and for some reason my bag went to Darwin?? I’m here on holiday with my 21 month old son. My bag only arrived yesterday so I spent almost 72 hours...

Also. There was a gentleman in 2D who was very specific about what he wanted and didn’t sound over pleased about the time it took to serve the refreshments. If that was you. I’m in awe, very brave!!

VA875 Mel to Syd 1800. Beef massaman curry, hubby had that. I had chips and nuts. Apparently it was nice but not very spicy and there didn’t appear too much sauce, but I think very reasonable for a 1hour flight!

All of the above please... and if someone would peel me some grapes as well, that would be terrific 😛

Well the mel lounge is atrocious tonight, packed, dirty and the only food (apart from the salads etc..) is a leek, potato and Parmesan soup 🙁

Hi team I’m going to make platinum for the first time ever (yay!) and my first flight will be mel-Nadi. Is there anything different or special I could look out for that I wouldn’t have had when gold?? Thanks so much! 😊

VA1036 VA1036 - Mcy - Mel Live quiche Lorraine for me and cos and pear salad for husby. Quiche was nice enough, but soggy but ok. Problem was it wasn’t filling enough for lunch and not having had a lounge in MCY couldn’t fill up beforehand :o/

Mel to Mcy live VA1033 chicken sandwich, olive and pecorino biscuits and yoghurt, not too bad as long as you had breakfast in the lounge

Hello all I am virgin velocity gold, flying Mel-Sin-Mle. I have just over 4 hours in Sin between flights, no need to collect bags as travelling on one ticket with SQ an Silk. I have heard that the gold lounge for SQ is rubbish, so was thinking we’d go from arriving in terminal 3 to terminal 1...

So, I think that the issue was that the service was not great and the food wasn’t that nice. There was no welcome drink on board, even though we had plenty of time while boarding. Food was served pretty quickly and was fine, just a quick snack before sleep. The bed was really comfy...

It may not be the case, but perhaps it’s because you called them? I initially called them and they said they couldn’t do anything to help but suggested I should email... which I did with the proof of my SQ flights and then they were able to be more flexible. May or may not be the issue?

They did indeed, in fact, I’m just at Manchester waiting to see if my bags have made it all the way from Manchester. On a side note, I wasn’t overly impressed with JAL. Finnair who they were codesharing with were excellent!
