I just called up the AU platinum number

I put in my EOI and was roughly spending 7k a month for 6 years now. But I did purchase a 120k car on it also. I got an invite after 6 weeks after I put in EOI. I declined it after they refused to waived the joining fees. This was during COVID time so I saw no value in the card.

I just got a call and an invitation to the Centurion program. Has anyone managed to get the initiation fee waived recently? I think with the initiation fees, it's not worth it for me atm and can be better spent elsewhere. My last annual spent on the charge to get an invite was roughly 200k.

how did you stay on the $1200AF version? I thought no one had a choice on this matter

I just called and into got offered 30k to stay. I guess I already got $500 cashback from amex for merchant fees refund and 80k last year. O can't expect too much

Mine plat charge is up for renewal next month. I've put bout 90k+ on it in the last two months. Let's see if I will be as lucky.

What's your AVG spent on the charge? I'm about to ring up about mine and hopefully with >10k per month, I would get 100k to stay

TBH, if you dont like what they offer, you can always ring them back

They offered me 80k straight away when I told them I want to cancel the card because I no longer needed it. It was through cancellation team.

I no longer use my plat edge so called up to cancel it but was offered 80k points to stay. My plat charge is about to expire so will let everyone know if they will try to retain me, current spending on it is about 160k per card year (hoping to get invite to centurion)
