Tried to book a hotel in Trivandrum, India (also known as Thiruvananthapuram) - we gave them 4 hotel options that all show up on expedia.com (Hilton & Hyatt, as well as two more local ones; Vivanta and O by Tamara) Got a response that these hotels are not affiliated with the 4th night free...

Does anyone have any experience where booking directly with the hotel is a fair bit cheaper than Expedia? Will Citibank allow that or am I stuck with the Expedia rate?
