Not sure if this has been answered elsewhere, but has anyone found a good alternative to Beem for Bpay via CC? I used to drip feed my tax and other payments through here and it worked well before they turned off the CC payment feature.
Just received this email, purportedly from Qantas offering a free gift card.
It's obviously a scam when you view the sender's email address. A fairly convincing fake, though.
There was probably a more economical way of doing it but I don't have much experience with SIN's booking system. Not sure if I can 'downgrade' from the Advantage fare to a waitlist Saver fare and recoup the points?
Yeah, all of the school holidays seem to be snapped up quickly.
Update on my progress. I was able to book 3 Saver seats return without waitlisting. So, I grabbed those and then booked the 4th seat on an Advantage fare. Paid an extra 60k for the priveledge but at least it's all locked in now.
I'm trying to book a famly of 4 in J from BNE to SIN over the 2023 Easter school holidays. All of the saver fares are on waitlist. Has anyone had much luck getting waitlisted flights over school hols?
Can flights be booked with a travel date that is after the expiry date of the points? Or do I need to book AND fly before the expiry date?
I have points expiring at the end of the year and just want to know if I can use the points before they expire but for travel in 2023.
Welcome to Qantas.
Taxes are a necessary evil with most carriers. That 56k for a return to SIN would be economy, so not the best use of points if you have to pay $300+ as well. May as well just purchase a cash fare when they go on sale.
No. Amex are the only personal cards that advertise paying points on ATO directly, AFAIK.
There is another personal card, however, that will still work using the method outlined above.
I managed around 620k in sign up bonuses for 2020, so Points Club Plus was easy enough but not sure about making it all the way to 800k or even 1m. I'm not Centurion level material!
My business/ATO spend is fairly low compared to others here that can put regular 6 figures through the ATO.

I think I'll pass on this.
Currently sitting on 200k ANZ Rewards Points that I've been waiting to move somewhere. 15% bonus to Krisflyer at a 3:1 transfer isn't too appealing.
Previously, it always worked out better to grab a 20-50% Velocity transfer bonus and then transfer into Kris from...
