I did QF589 from BNE-PER on Tuesday. My first time in the new J cabin. I must say, for a domestic product - I was very impressed - it is really good. It actually lays "flatter" than the MKII skybed - which these days tends to have a slope on it from wear & tear.

QF95 MEL-LAX 22/5 - Looking good? So I'm flying QF95 MEL-LAX on the 22/5 - now less than T-7 days. Loadings appear to be light: J9 C9 D9 I9 W9 R9 T9 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 S9 N9 Q9 O9 G0 X9 E9 What do you experts say - am I right in thinking my odds are fairly good? I'm setting my expectations...

In theory, yes - if you are flying non-stop to the antipode, it would make no difference. However, in practice the factors that tend to nail you are: A) Are you able to get a decent amount of sleep on the flight? B) Do you have a connection that will be during your normal sleep time? That kills...

They clearly rely on people not comparing the market. I refinanced my mortgage away from CBA at the start of the year - got an interest rate 0.52% lower - saving me about $200 a month... If people woke up, they'd be toast (or actually need to be competitive).

So after a few weeks of messing around I finally have my new account & I'm well happy with it. Did a EUR transfer today to an account in Europe via Internet banking. Cost me AUD $489 - exchange rate used was only 0.02c from the spot rate. I checked my CBA account to see what it would have cost...

I live in PER - whenever I have an early flight out of MEL or SYD, I avoid the red eye and take an earlier flight and rest up in a hotel near the airport. That way you're not exhausted before you even start. You have to be happy to pay an extra $200 or so of course...

Correct - hence my screen shot! I was referring to the time it would take to query every flight on a particular day you wanted to travel. :)
