Premium Economy - worth the upgrade?

I'm flying over to the US in August and returning September. I thought for $500 extra that I'd fly home in PE. I hate the dreaded night flight back for the US, and thought, why not? I rang V Australia and reserved 14K for the flight home. I know there is no window, but I don't care. I've heard...

Headphones were free last night, didn't have to pay the $2.50. It was the same headphones for Live2Air (I opened the metal thingy at the gate to have a look).

I just logged in to see if my points had been credited yet from the weekend. No luck. Usually in the past, they were credited within 24 hours.

    Jetstar boarding

As of the 12th of May, they were still using the coloured boarding passes. I don't really see the point anymore. If they want to, it should be Blue boarding passes by the front door, and Silver via the rear door, comes in handy at places such as Avalon where people continually board via the...

Virgin Blue - Live2air TV Update

RE-Checking in on DJ for a different seat (OLCI)

No. I made the mistake of not printing out my boarding passes somehow, and ended up ringing them. They told me no, it wasn't possible. I had to go the 'Customer Service' desk and ask them to reprint my boarding passes. Maybe it is something they could in to.

    Redeeming Points

I've redeemd two flights so far. They were ADL-SYD last July, and MEL-SYD for the Easter weekend. Both have been $120+ fares. When it comes to cheap flights, I think it is best to earn on those flights, rather than redeem points. Is it really worth using 1400 points to 'save' $9 vs 312 points earnt.

Virgin Blue achieves record 93.8% on time performance in Oct.

Flew SYD-MEL-SYD on Tuesday (16th January), and the departure times were dead on time. Flew DJ808 down on a 737-700, and seated in 9F. I somehow find the seats on the 737-700 more comfortable. Was a reasonable load of around 75%, and was the usual suits (besides me!!). Was given a receipt for my...

Overweight man sues Air France over seat row

My mum and I are 'larger' people, and after having an uncomfotable trip in a 2 seater on Air Canada, we decided that from now on we would buy an extra seat. When we flew United last year, we purchased an extra seat through to JFK for $1450. If you divide that by 2 and 2 again for each way, that...

    Florida

If you want to try cruising, there are plenty of cheap cruises of of Tampa, Miami, Fort Lauderdale & Port Canaveral (Orlando). These are short, around 4-6 days. I can easily suggest some agencies here that book these cruises. I've never been to Florida, so not too sure what else there is to...
