The link makes an already great product a fantastic one - from an earn perspective on par/better than the platinum charge (minus Qantas) with no annual earn restrictions and a third of the annual fee. Use the travel credit, and it's effectively free. Worthy replacement for Citi Prestige. P

Current Plat Edge holder.. applied 1.5 weeks ago via referral link. Received/activated card mid last week. Spent required $1500+ (ATO payment) on Friday. Points (for payment at 0.5) posted Monday morning. As yet, no sign-up bonus. Not holding my breath... P

Pretty disappointing change, given my main use for the card was some big monthly o/s spend... 2.5KF per $1 was amazing - new effective rate is 1.2 if my math is right, hardly worth it.. Unfortunately I need to keep the card with my need for a high limit, which isn't quickly or easily attainable...

Yep. You can basically get the cheapest hotels.com rate available, with the 4th night free. These rates are basically comparable to anything most other booking sites offer, or hotel sites direct. Not sure about any BRGs, I don't typically stick to specific hotel chains etc. Just book the hotel...

Just made 3 hotel bookings across HK and Japan for July - 3 free nights, total saving approx. $670. Annual fee justified this year.. :) P

Not sure if it varies between merchants, but in my experience you DO get the bonus points with an o/s merchant even if you pay in AUD. P

Hey guys, Looking to upgrade to a Prestige from my free-for-life Signature. Trying to justify the $700 fee, seems unlikely Citi will do me any favours with respect to that. Not overly interested in the various value-added benefits, however the increased points earn rate IS quite interesting...

Not a lot tempting me to pay the $700 upgrade to prestige from the free-for-life Signature... If they add SPG on the other hand....

Would be interested to see if anyone has attempted this or if it is at all possible/simple? (suspect not :-)) To add to this, if they did do it, do you retain your Rewards points from the previous (Signature) card (not Qantas) or would you need to use/transfer them first?
