I can't believe this account still exists...

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

Not 100% sure. I've got 3 QFF numbers, 2 of them I can apply online myself, remove and add them back. The third which was on my main accounts throws an error if I try and add it.

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

I *think* they have internally blocked our QFF numbers so I'd need to get a new QFF account to do so. EDIT: Yep. They are blocked from what I can tell.

So it anyone going to try it again? Haha. I still have one account left.

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

Just submitted a complaint :) Two accounts closed yesterday with zero notification (no letter arrived). I've asked for the closing balances to be sent in cheque form (I assume this was done as a manner of course), for the QFF points accrued from August to be posted to my QFF account and for...

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

Yeah, just over. It's a pity as I had gotten my earn rate up to 75k a month... So far only my partners accounts have been axed. None of mine. Mine are coming though - I've no doubt about that. We've bought heaps of random cough using them from flights (lots of interstate business class fights)...

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

Bankwest has the Bankwest Rewards Account haha. It's not QFF and the points are poor value but I have one of those as well. Still no letter for me.

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

FOS will have them extend it. Let BW know you're submitting a FOS complaint for not giving the full 14 days. I doubt it's a legal requirement but even when I worked @ CBA we always gave 14 days from the day the customer was notified so there must be some kind of guideline/FOS ruling somewhere.

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

You won't need to FOS that. An internal complaint will get them paid. Given they are not claiming abuse of account etc they have no grounds to refuse. Even if they claimed abuse of account I wouldn't accept it. I accept they can close our accounts, but if it was abuse then they would have done...

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

I never said otherwise. In fact I warned people early on that it'd eventually end and there was a good chance they would remove you as a customer.

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

Yeah but they don't check. Just make **** up and say you've sent emails in and no one has been responding. FOS are generally happy to do 100% of their communication via email if you request to.

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

By lodging a FOS complaint BW then can not action the closure till FOS closes the complaint. If I receive a letter I'll only FOS it if they won't give me my points till closure date. I suggest everyone submits requests for all personal information on file to be disclosed to you - this means...

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

Doubt it. I'd be surprised if anyone has raked in more points than I. No letter yet on any of my accounts, my partner got hers yesterday though. Everyone should be funny buggers and go and open BW Reward Accounts and do the exact same thing, har har.

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

Pretty much. It's a very weak form of money laundering - it used to be common for people to use a stolen credit card to pay a fake Telstra account (created using fake details) then have Telstra try and pay our the credit balance. They'll always do it but they may request you to jump through...

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

NP :) It's almost definitely based on my original horrible code, haha. I don't use Python day to day so another user assisted in fixing my errors (sorry other user, I have temporarily forgotten your username!). Yes. Telstra will process the extra credit back but you'd want to do it quite...

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

I've had quite a few messages come in requesting the python script recently. Before messaging me please note it can ONLY be used for Telstra. I am happy for you to credit one of my Telstra billing accounts and I will bank transfer the funds to you but don't expect me transfers to you to be...

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

They can see if they go and look at your cards. But for branch staff going from normal -> plat is a sale so helps them meet KPIs so they don't care. They might just submit the request though without checking cards. BW have quite old systems like most banks. If you've got one card and...

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

I love this account so much, haha. So far it has funded: 1) New hair straighter for the fiance. One of those high end ones. 2) A candle (? No idea why she bought this). 3) 3 Economy Flights. 4) 4 Business Flights. 5) 2 Fitbit HRs 6) 4 gold class tickets. Still 275,000 points left :)

A discussion on the ethics and legality of scripting 1 cent transactions!

Re: Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion] Telstra charge a % fee. But not when paying in 1c payments.

A discussion on the ethics and legality of scripting 1 cent transactions!

Re: Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion] Fighting closure of account would be pointless. You'd lose. If they close mine then I'll just accept it. This clause was bought up in the main thread a while ago: "transactions we decide are disputed due to being fraudulentor which involve...
