"oneworld" award (132.4K/249.6K/318K/455K) Planning - The Definitive Thread

Looking into a second OWA booking - first one was quite successful - this one looking to start outside of Australia and attempt two seperate holidays from one 318k itinerary (with a positioning flight), possibly Singapore - just wondering if anyone has a list or idea as to some of the better...

Bit of a conclusion to this - enjoyed a nice 9 week trip away. Busy, but worth it! The CX A350's were fairly bumpy through a fair bit of turbulence (I was surprised how bumpy they were). The BA A380 was a surprise, the service was good, the seat pretty good and the service excellent. The BA...

I would avoid departing LHR after your euro stopover, as you will pay a UK departure tax (a few hundred per passenger, if I'm not mistaken)

Just check whether that is nautical miles. 1 nautical mile = 1.15 miles. If so, think you would still be ok (just)

Basically that is all correct. 5 stopovers (LAX would be your last stopover. Melbourne is where you start and end. You would need to find a HKG xDOH ATH flight, if you want to fly with Qatar all the way (due to married segments). Otherwise you can fly Cathay to Doha (if they fly there) and...

Just completed my booking, and all up finished at around $2500 for 2 pax in J. Transit through LHR twice, (no stopovers there) and using CX and JL kept our costs down, the most expensive segment was the BA from ORD to BRU.

That is not correct, unless it has been changed in the last 2-3 months. My 280k upcoming trip has five stopovers and includes two land segments. I specifically asked a Premium team call centre member this question and she said only one stopover, but must include the distance between both...

"oneworld" award (132.4K/249.6K/318K/455K) Planning - The Definitive Thread

I spent weeks looking for FCO to HKG or NRT/HND in J. Qatar looked like it would be the one, but only released seats once in a 7 week period. Cathay direct to HKG didn't release any J class. Ended up re jigging our trip and flying Frankfurt to Narita with Japan Airlines (direct). This is why...

Thanks for that - yes AA website shows a few flights, but not much - certainly very little direct US to EU - ended up choosing BA (boo club world, but will take what we can get) to get from ORD to BRU, worked out at around $350 per person in surcharges. 5 flights booked, 5 to go - yay!

"oneworld" award (132.4K/249.6K/318K/455K) Planning - The Definitive Thread

Getting through my booking - and can not find any AA Business class across the Atlantic. This doesn't seem to be a route issue, as I have searched on multiple routes and multiples dates and AA just seem to not give QF any business class seats. As everyone knows the abundance of business class...

Thanks Josh, just wondering when you say plenty of availability on NY to Madrid and London, are you seeing this on BA or AA's site? I will be looking for ORD to CDG, mid next year.

Can anyone with status see any AA Business class on any routes next year? I am only a mere Bronze, and can see Business class availability with BA, JL, CX, Finnair etc, however every flight that involves an AA flight, is economy only. Is it purely me being a bronze level, or is AA notorious at...

The problem was resolved on Monday night. From Friday AM to Monday PM, there was no availibility on Cathay. It has now been fixed, was a bug for a few days. Just started my booking process for my 280k award. Did the call back the other day and spoke with the Premium team (so +1 to the person...

Hi guys, is anyone else having trouble seeing Business class (and even a lot of economy) award availability for May/June 2019 Have been watching and all days (up to approx 10th June) had business availability yesterday, now today, there is none showing up on the 28 day window. Could it just be...

In the planning stages for our first 280k booking. Can you have a stopover in a city (ie more than 24 hours) then have two tranfers (ie. less than 24 hours) through that same city (from the below quoted rule it seems you can, or does the stopover reduce your transit allowance to only 1?

Me too - looking forward to my first booking - nervous and excited - seems the CX flights are easy-ish to attain, but Qatar and AA is going to be hard, every search I do wants me to fly with BA, with their ridiculous fees! Fingers crossed

Just a query....if I book the first 3 flights for my upcoming 280k award online, then add flights 5,6,7,8 (for change fee), can I then add the 4th flight when it becomes available (being an AA flight) (for additional change fee), or do changes have to be made in order. Obviously I would only do...

Hi guys, getting set for booking my first 280k award booking for my partner and myself. A few questions? If we both have enough points in each of our accounts, do we need to pool our points into one of the accounts to be able to make a booking over the phone? Presume it would be safer to pool...
