Depending on the day of the week CX/KA can be an option. I've had a good connection in the past taking the red eye CX from SYD which connects nicely with KA to Clark in the morning. Not so good for the return though.

I flew CRK-SIN over a month ago on a MAX fare. Still no points or SCs. Can't lodge a request to claim missing points online because CRK is not loaded into the table. Two phone calls later, still waiting...

Re: PEK lounge? The CX lounge is the 'official' lounge that you are directed to at check in (if in J or SG and above). I flew the same route last month but used the EK lounge as the CX lounge has a lousy reputation. The EK flight to DXB leaves around the same time as the QF flight but they...

I can happily say that I gifted my mother SG in July last year, then my wife WP in October, with my renewal date in November.

I was there last month and flew JAL to NRT in the morning. There is no JAL lounge. JAL use the SATS Premier lounge, which is nothing in comparison to the QF Lounge. I'd recommend you stick with the QF lounge which I have found to be very good (though have not used it for a few months).
