50000 Bonus Points for new eligible Car or Home Insurance

Yes I know. But I'm also 53 years old and cannot continue churning in retirement. I want to build a stash even with the risk of devaluation. At the moment I am doing maybe one ultra long haul and a couple of medium-long haul trips a year so I do expect to use at least the points I currently have.

It's a long time since I was lucky, but IIRC the ruby, silver, etc. is based only on the number of years you have been with them, not on whether you have claimed. IIRC the insurance certificate did have a reference somewhere to max no claims discount. In any case, I did not get pulled up on it...

I know different people have different priorities... ... but I do not rate PC/PC+ highly enough to let if deter me from banking points when I can. Sure, I chase PC+ but it doesn't really make much of a difference to my life. I also don't prize groceries. I would rather have $2,500 of free...

Depends how many people jump on it. The living abroad to get BA Gold was bubbling along quite merrily until people started shouting about it, it took off in a big way and it was nixed very quickly.

I do wonder at the wisdom of posting advice on how to exploit loopholes on an open forum. If too many people do that, the loopholes can close really quickly.

    BankSA - Bank of Melbourne

Thanks. That will point me towards applying for the Qantas card. Some sites still say 2:1 KF which would have been an attractive alternative.

Just when you thought you had seen it all in the Qantas lounge...

Is that the case? My view is that people should be able to wear what they want. How is that imposing my opinion on anyone?

Just when you thought you had seen it all in the Qantas lounge...

What is it about this thread that people want to impose their opinion on everyone else? This post being a case in point: I’m no longer entertained by the thread so everyone should stop posting.

Just when you thought you had seen it all in the Qantas lounge...

I would find it very unusual and remarkable, but I would not go so far as to say it’s unacceptable. As far as I am concerned, people can wear what they like or go completely naked if they prefer. But I would draw the line at clothes with slogans that are intended to offend or promote causes that...
