Amex Australia - Centurion Card Eligibility

Congrats! That's brilliant news! Circa $500k a year is still significant spend! Can I ask, was it business or personal spend? I think the amex alogo perceives the 2 quite differently?

And thank goodness to! Because it was silly stupid for a while there.. And there is a smattering available in better times of the year... I just jagged a similar search to above, for 2 in August 2024.. So my faith has been partially restored.... Best wishes all :)

FWIW... It looks like some availability is creeping back in.. You could take your pick at off peak flights.. Note this is a search for 2 people no less!!

Amex Australia - Centurion Card Eligibility

Out by a zero i think! My calculator suggests that if you spend circa $1.5M a year or more, you are absolutely better of with the Centurion.. $1.5M delivers an additional 187.5K QFF points... which at the low end offsets the additional AF So AMEX's tardiness re this with me, is costing me...

Amex Australia - Centurion Card Eligibility

Me neither.. I'm wondering if getting a Business Plat charge card, and separating it all out would be meritorious? My personal spend in calendar 23 was circa 300K, out of total spend of circa 2M, but presumably they can't tell what is what? With 2 cards, and it all clearly separated out, I...

Did you have to deliver fins to Amex, to get to that level? Once I hit 300k balance outstanding, they called and said "no more soup for you.. unless we can see your fins.." so now I keep the balance outstanding at any point below that, even it means pushing cash across b4 its due...

Amex Australia - Centurion Card Eligibility

Will be super interested to see how this goes! From everything I've seen/read the last few months, looks like you need circa 500k in genuine personal spend, or 2-5 Million if business spend.... My 2M in mixture of personal/bus hasn't' worked yet...

On the Rolex front.... I have run an experiment in each of the 6 countries I've been in over the last few months, and each time I find a Rolex dealer and ask about availability... Seems to me that availability is rubbish globally! Pretty much every time the answer was : "we are doing...

Cathay Pacific Asia Miles major devaluation

I'm super impressed ! My search was the other way.. Aus to Europe.. And it used to be so useful prior to covid!! I booked multiple decent redemptions in 2018 and 2019... now it's just a disaster... Agree with stuff coming and going, and how little correlation there is between the seats...

Cathay Pacific Asia Miles major devaluation

Ok, so I figured out the month thing.. i hope.. After spending an hour or so looking around, I can't find a single business reward seat from AU to the major EU airports, for ANY date, out over the next 12 months. I searched a matrix of MEL SYD BNE PER crossed with LHR CDG MUC ZRH AMS...

Article: How I Redeemed Points for $36,000 of Travel Last Year

I have well over 20,000,000 points across all manner of airlines/credit card programs. Sometimes I feel like I might as well have none. Redeeming them is difficult. Further more: the redemption's available are more often than not the coughpy alternatives... long layovers, horrible departure...

Amex Australia - Centurion Card Eligibility

I agree re 1.5M per year spend being about the right amount, for the additional points to offset the annual fee.. 375K additional points, at 1c each, is a little more than the increase in the annual fee in after tax dollars...

Amex Australia - Centurion Card Eligibility

Never underestimate small and humble beginnings!! Its a journey.. 15 years ago I earnt and spent circa 50K a year, as a regular PAYG bloke. Today I own and run an 8 figure company.. Big changes can happen.. I think when you are in the middle of it all, its easy to think its not happening...
