Yes, that's what I was wondering about too... Isn't it awkward to face your seatmate for several hours? It's definitely a break in the trend towards privacy in premium cabins. But the sliding panel has probably been proven useful here.

Ok this might doesn't help SWMBO anymore but regarding lounges at DXB in general: As far as I know, Marhaba lounges provide you with a free meal if you are travelling Y on EK and have a 4hrs+ stop-over.

LH Sen Lounge at BOS: 1 room, space for less than 20 people, no window, now service. (That was in 2009.. They opened a new one in 2011 which is really nice now)

What a great thread! I can't even remember when my first flight was.. What I do remember is that I had my first flight alone at the age of 10 or so. I flew Lufthansa and there was a flight attendant who took care of me all the time as it is the typical treatment for UM's.

I agree! that would be a great development. In general, there are so many possibilities to use the push function on an airplane. I'm just thinking about advertisement on board: All the LCC could get rid of posters and other ad that would only cause costs..
