thanks for the reply. I was checking the SQ c6-c2 fares and it seems that while the base fares added to about 50% of the total fare and decently cheap, the fare rules were not favourable. Guess adding other flights must have pushed up the fare class beyond the cheap ones. Will keep looking and...
