    Byron Bay Recommendations

I was in Byron about 3 weeks ago just before the Queensland border locked down again. We stayed at Elements which was fantastic but outside of the town. Everything is fairly close in Byron so I wouldn't totally discount that. In town I have stayed at the Beach Hotel which is very central and...

As a related aside Australian passport holders have access to automated immigration gates at DPS which might avoid the risk of delays. There was no queue at all when we went through.

    New lounge trial in DPS

I wish I had read this thread a few days ago. My wife & I both WP and flying J to SYD on QF checked in at DPS 2 days ago but were not offered any alternative to the Premier Lounge. May be we were not in the first 30 to check in? Did not even bother to go to the Premier Lounge after reading...

Exmouth (LEA) [What facilities exist when waiting for a flight?]

I was on a flight that stopped at Exmouth to refuel earlier this year. We did not get off so can't tell you what facilities were there. However, there was a very small modern terminal which would be comfortable to sit in for 90 minutes. I would doubt that there is a cafe. I would expect a...

    Latam Brasil - Baggage Question

Well it woke similarly to Danger's experience with BA. OW Emerald status gave you nothing. Had to pay 80R for each bag. 160R for the bag that was overweight. However, when travelling with a baby you get 1 free bag.

    Latam Brasil - Baggage Question

Question for our frequent South American flyers. I have booked domestic flights within Brazil with Latam Brasil. The flights do not come with any checked luggage. I am finding it difficult to find out how much baggage will cost to purchase at the airport and whether I get any free luggage...

    Strangest checkin luggage?

Strangest thing I have seen is a suitcase full of pineapples on a flight fromPhuket to Moscow. Strangest thing I have packed is a 1960's coughtail trolley bought in antique shop in Buenos Aires which I wrapped in bubble wrap and managed to get home to Brisbane in one piece.
