    Freighting Excess Baggage

Hi, does anyone know of reputable firms handling excess baggage to Europe, in particular Greece? I have an allowance of 80 kgs with SQ but as I will be moving I need to send some stuff as excess baggage.

Query on SQ (two-leg) waitlist, 2nd leg cleared but waiting for the 1st

Thanks Cruiser Elite. I am in UK so will call the local number. Who knows they may be able to confirm the first leg too. Not sure whether status helps in clearing the waitlist.

Query on SQ (two-leg) waitlist, 2nd leg cleared but waiting for the 1st

In need to burn some KF miles, I did a redemption booking on J for my partner first (via my KF account), all OK. Then, I proceeded to do a second redemption booking on the same flights for myself but had to waitlist the outbound flights. Details below: =======================================...

SQ timetable gone from new website

Singapore Airlines New Website: teething problems again! In the new version of the website there is no way to get a copy of the full timetable anymore. In the past (few months ago) I was able to download a pdf version and have it on my laptop and tablet for offline use. Any idea where it...

Disaster trip to Singapore - Baggage Saga

The new tag was attached but there appears that the number entered by the SQ baggage services missed some of the numbers, as the TK tag was not standard. Anyway, bag arrived well at SIN, 3 days late. Yes, I do have an e-visa for Turkey, and these can be issued on the spot (travelling on UK...

Disaster trip to Singapore - Baggage Saga

Indeed. The bag was in Istanbul. Have e-mailed the lost and found office directly with details and within 30 minutes I had a response that they were sending the bag on the next TK flight to SIN. It arrived with the IST - SIN tag attached. The aero tracer website was still showing that it had...

Disaster trip to Singapore - Baggage Saga

On Monday the 3rd August while flying from Corfu (Greece) to Singapore via Istanbul all my luggage was lost. Details below edited for privacy. I have already called Singapore PPS club and have reported the baggage missing at Changi when we arrived, the baggage is listed on...

    Double dipping?

Two questions: 1. Is it still possible to credit spend on PPS value but credit the miles on another *A programme? 2. Say you have an award ticket on SQ on D/I class. Is it possible to credit miles on another *A programme?

    SQ308 operational aircraft change

Not this time. O2 machine already in UK. Well, am an A380 fan.

    SQ308 operational aircraft change

J class. Find some of the B777W a bit tired. Same goes with some of the A380s. I prefer the A380 due to its better caabin pressure.

    SQ308 operational aircraft change

Quite annoyed with SQ this evening. Flying out to LHR on SQ218/308 on March 3; SQ308 was on A380. Just been told that there is a change in aircraft to a B777W. A week ago or so, SQ308 was cancelled. Not sure why this is happening. Might change to SQ318 as this is flown on B777WN. Much...

MEL-SIN-LHR very tight 22 Feb to early <arch

Has to be on SQ; using the return leg of a ticket earlier than originally planned. Will give them a ring in their morning and see what they can offer.

MEL-SIN-LHR very tight 22 Feb to early <arch

Yes, SQ. Apologies, corrected on original post.

MEL-SIN-LHR very tight 22 Feb to early <arch

Have been looking on Expert Flyer for availability on MEL-SIN-LHR with SQ and it shows quite full from about 22 February to early March, especially so in biz. Apart from the fact that there is no SQ308 on 24 Feb, do you have any ideas/information of why most booking classes show 0 availability?

LHR-SIN-MEL RT with one stopover much more pricey than no stopover

Thanks. This is the only option that I can see at present.

LHR-SIN-MEL RT with one stopover much more pricey than no stopover

Have checked on expertflyer and SIN-MEL shows no availability till early February but if you go to the SQ website and start a booking for the LHR-SIN-MEL with no stopover there is (some) availability. Timing is bad also due to the Open in Melbourne.

LHR-SIN-MEL RT with one stopover much more pricey than no stopover

I could do this but they only wish one stopover on the way to MEL. And all this for eating spicy crab at Palm Beach restaurant in SIN. Or, may book with no stopovers and add one later, after purchase.

LHR-SIN-MEL RT with one stopover much more pricey than no stopover

Trying to bring over a couple of friends from London to Melbourne, with one stopover in Singapore. SQ quoted £2795 on Economy (return ticket) with a single stopover in Singapore. For the same routing with no stopover the Economy fare is £1200 -1600 depending on flex requirements. Any idea why...

Tumi TSA locks being 'removed' from luggage

Have recently returned from a very short trip to Europe and had the Tumi TSA lock 'removed' from the hold luggage. Has anyone had a similar experience? There was nothing missing from the suitcase, it did not appear to have been opened, just the lock gone. Replacing it should be no problem...

Are all SQ Flights MEL > SIN in Business in the NEW Business Config?

This is a bit of a mess right now. You need to check what aircraft it is, you can use the Expertflyer for this. A380 has the standard biz lie flat. Not all 777s are the new conifg, new seats. Often it is the old B777, 2-2-2 across and the 18:20 flight has the A330, which imo is better than...
