Accor hotels to offer free internet to Le Club Silver members and above from Oct 1st

Re: Accor hotels to offer free internet to Le Club Silver members and above from Oct I got free internet when I stayed last week. I am a platinum member, and have never got this before. I do book via corporate but had stayed a month earlier and didn't get any free internet that time... I...

    Declining levels of IFE

Most people will not be interested in the entire 300 hours of content. Usually when I jump on a plane, I can see 2 or 3 things I really want to see, then another 5-6 things I wouldn't mind seeing, and the rest I have no interest in. My issue is that flying from SYD-LAX and back with a 6 week...

    Declining levels of IFE

I'm located in Perth, so the majority (if not all) of my flights are East-West. I was flying Qantas flights with a shared screen for every few rows, and Virgin had their new A330's with excellent big screens and plenty of content. To me, the important things are seats (ie. not tiny), and IFE...

    Declining levels of IFE

I've just sent this as feedback to Virgin. I wanted to know if other people have had similar experiences. When I started flying Virgin, I was super impressed with their IFE offerings. However it seems like the maintenance of it has been neglected. : I've been flying Virgin quite frequently...

    Too cheap to fly fast

Considering it was the only fatal crash involving a Concorde, and the crash was caused by large debris on the runway rather than any mechanical fault - The crash shouldn't have been a big factor.

If only there was status for the security queue

I mostly travel with one hand luggage and one "personal item". If I get on late on some flights, I find all the overhead buckets in my area are taken up, as some people think it's alright to bring on 2-3 hand luggage items each. I find this to be especially a big problem in the US. People bring...

    Virgin Flyer 2-For-1

The Mrs and I are flying to Brisbane with another couple friend of ours. We have 4 sectors remaining and probably won't use the card anymore due to the changes. Can I book a flexi for myself and my wife, and then a flexi for myself and a mate on the same flight? Following which, I will do a...

Virgin Flyer 2-For-1 - Significant negative changes from Dec 1

What's stopping you from booking a second seat under "Joe Bloggs"? And then at the last minute, mr Bloggs misses his flight. There's a good chance the seat would be vacant.

Virgin Flyer 2-For-1 - Significant negative changes from Dec 1

Re: Virgin Flyer 2-For-1 I used it purely for Flexi fares which I then upgrade. Not much use now as you can't book the special's. Factor in the annual fee, and the value is becoming less and less. Still can't believe they have an earning cap on their own credit card! $1500 a month before...

    Qantas Status Credit Question

Not exactly True. If anniversary is January 2013... If for example I make 2 return flights In December, two in January and then 4 in February. I've just flown 8 return flights in 3 months (16 legs) and probably earnt enough SC for gold, if not silver at the very least. With the system in...

    Qantas Status Credit Question

Are you able to change your anniversary date? Mine is currently 31st January. I tend to fly more at the end and start of a year - so this is the worst possible time for having an anniversary.

    Qantas Status Credit Question

Of course - but the context of the response was more suited to someone that had lost their SC's, and was complaining to Qantas expecting them to return the SC's because they had not read the T&C's. Losing my SC's unexpectedly was what triggered my post - however I'm not for one moment...

    Qantas Status Credit Question

Well aware of it - however the new system (after ironing out the hiccups) appears to be much better. SC's have been credited extremely quickly lately.

    Qantas Status Credit Question

Your post would be far more relevant if I was blaming Qantas and expecting them to refund my points. I am entitled to comment on the way their FF program works - that's the whole point of the forum. I am commenting on the parameter's they have set, and comparing them to another program.

    Qantas Status Credit Question

Definitely easier to understand the Qantas system - however it also means that SC's could be 2 days old and get binned. A total waste of credits. The Virgin system is a little more confusing to understand - but I feel it's more fair. If I earn SC's, I can keep them for 12 months.

    Qantas Status Credit Question

What an absolutely stupid concept! I joined QFF years ago but haven't flown them much. Virgin has been my weapon of choice. So as of last year i've flown Qantas more - and when I logged in today to check my account - I realised all the credits I had earnt last year, including as recently as...

Yeah, Ive overheard them asking if they've flown Virgin Business before a few times. Perhaps you misheard?

Tips for ensuring points & SC are credited

I just did Syd-LAX and back with lots of internals with Delta. The Delta points appeared on my account within a few hours on most occasions, and by the next morning at the worst.
